The Hampton Roads Alumni Chapter of AKPsi had a great time today at the Lubo Wine Tasting Room in Virginia Beach to discuss the first three chapter of "The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference" by Malcolm Gladwell. The Tipping Point is that magicmoment when an idea, trend orsocial behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire. Atwhat point does it become obviousthat something has reached a boilingpoint and is about to tip?

Iota Pi has invited the Hampton Roads Alumni Chapter to a celebratory 40th anniversary "soiree" at the new upscale BBQ restaurant in Newport News, Smoke. They have rented out a large room in the restaurant and will have a buffet style dinner, complete with cake, music, and of course, brothers! There is also a full bar available (AKPsi will not be sponsoring this, but you are more than welcome to partake on a separate tab!). There will be a small price for a cover charge just to cover the cost of food. They are estimating it will be roughly $5-$10 per person (depending on how many brothers RSVP/Attend, so very low cost. It should be a great event. Please RSVP to [email protected] by no later than October 20th and include whether you will have a plus one. Also, since that weekend is CNU homecoming weekend, they will also be hosting a tailgate on Saturday at around 3:30pm if any HRAC brother would like to attend.
